K.T.'s First Thanksgiving

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving, everyone! We spent the holiday in Houston, Texas visiting Jeff's family and KT got to see her cousin Taylor (who's 5.5 months older than her). It was really cute to watch them interact, but I'm not really sure what they thought of each other - I can't wait till we can have some serious interaction! Hopefully, KT will be walking in the next few months, which will definitely help.

We went over to Jeff's Mom's house for Thanksgiving day (feast). She prepared the works: Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, yams, etc. I gave KT a little bit of everything, not really knowing what to expect. Let me tell you, we were surprised! This little girl went to TOWN on the meal. She's really good about eating meat, so of course she handled ate all the turkey. But, from the moment it touched her lips, the stuffing was her favorite (uh-oh). She could not get enough. I'm sure the green bean casserole will be more appreciated in the next few years, and perhaps the mashed potatoes too, but the stuffing was by far her favorite. And what a total MESS she made - oh well! It was so worth it to see the expressions on her face.

Overall, Thanksgiving was a WIN!

We only went to a few stores on Friday (around 10am) before the crowds got the best of us and we retreated back to Jenny & Ryan's house. We decided to come back home late Friday night because we had such a busy weekend ahead of us. Plus, we leave for vacation on the 4th - so, there is a long list of to-do's ahead of us!

Here's a few pics of KT's First Thanksgiving:

Xia wasn't as interested in the turkey... she LOVED the sweet potatoes (of course!) It's going to be so much fun seeing the cousins grow up together... soon enough they will be talking and interacting so much more:) Love it!
